The most dramatic hydrophobic beading we offer, protected for a full 7 years. If you're keeping this vehicle, Obsidian is the one that pays for itself in resale value alone.
Obsidian is our premium SiO₂ formula, and the hydrophobic beading is on another level. Water doesn't just run off — it balls up into tight little marbles and rolls straight off the hood before it even has a chance to sit. Get caught in a summer storm and the paint's basically dry again ten minutes later. It's rated a full 7 years instead of Jet's 3, and it holds up better against Oklahoma summer heat — less fading, less breakdown on a hood that's been baking in a parking lot at 100+ degrees all afternoon.
This is the tier for someone keeping their vehicle long-term, or anyone who wants to set it and not think about paint protection again for years. Every application is logged to your MyCarfax service history — documented care that shows up as real, verifiable maintenance if you ever sell or trade.
Obsidian scales from moderate correction up to our deepest correction tier, HALO, depending on what your paint needs. Prices start at sedan pricing — trucks and larger SUVs run higher.
+ 2-Step Medium Correction — moderate correction, 90%+ improvement — visible swirls, water spots, and oxidation gone. starting at $1,999
+ 2-Step Heavy Correction (HALO) — our deepest correction, period. 95%+ improvement, full show-car finish. Contact for pricing
Not sure which level your paint needs? Send a couple photos or call — I'll tell you straight what actually makes sense, not just upsell the top one.
By the time someone's ready for Obsidian, the paint usually isn't just a little dull — it's oxidized, the hood and roof have gone chalky or hazy in the sun, and there's real swirling visible without even looking hard. That's neglect built up over years, not something a wash or a light polish touches. This is exactly the kind of paint Heavy Correction (HALO) exists for.
Multi-stage correction means running the paint through more than one pass: a cutting stage first, with a more aggressive compound, to remove the bulk of the oxidation and deeper marring — then a finishing polish to refine what the cutting stage leaves behind and bring back real clarity. Each pass takes a small, measured amount of clear coat with it, which is why I check paint depth with a gauge before starting. If a panel's already been cut hard by a previous shop, that changes how aggressive I can safely be.
Even at this level, there's a ceiling. Chips down to bare metal, cracked or peeling clear coat, and scratches deep enough to catch a fingernail aren't correctable — that's body shop work. What Obsidian's correction does is take genuinely tired, neglected paint and get it as close to right as polishing can get it, before locking it in for 7 years.
Same terms as Jet, extended to a full 7 years. Covers defects in application and material — a care guide is provided at application so you know exactly how to maintain it. Doesn't cover rock chips, accidents, or improper maintenance.
